Not so long ago, they used to say that the rich people were the cult people and the ones that could read and write. I love to read and write and I love texts and books, specially the ones in the printed format that you can read offline. I even have a small liberary at home so I feel very rich but I also feel very affortunated that I can read and write so that I can get the opportunity to learn new things, every dag.
I'm a very creative person and some of my special skills are marketing texts and copywriting challenges. I also write and translate many press releases, beauty texts, hotel and marketing texts, etc. I also do proofreadings and QM jobs from English to Swedish and Spanish to Swedish. When I'm not working as a translator/copywriter/journalist I'm a substitute teacher at the local school. A few years ago I started a popular blog called Mallorcabloggen.se (not active now but with a very active forum on Facebook) and I´m also active at Mallorcanyheter.com.
I was really creative already as a child, making up stories and me and my best friend even started a school newspaper that we sold to get money to charity (Save the Children).. I loved to write but when I was in school my Swedish teacher told me that I had too much imagination, so I tried to control it, so I stopped writing during a couple of years.
It was not until I took my BA Hons in Journalism that I realized it is ok to be creative and to accept my native skills.
Creativity can appear whenever you least expect it, for me specially in my dreams but also when I'm driving, eating or reading, but now I know that I should feel blessed that I have this gift. And just let it flow!
